Gear Wall

CDM needed a donor wall, but why stop at that? They wanted an interactive wall that would get visitors engaged and absorbing the true scope of local partners that helped to grow this museum. No better way to show the impact of donors, both big and small, working together to make something incredible than this impressive gear wall. Most gears are turned by a large wooden crank that powers a jute pulley, and the rest can be turned by hand. Over 250 "founding members" are included on decorative gears. The entire wall, with the exeption of some hardware, are natural materials to match the museum's natural aesthetic: Plywood, hardwood, and jute.
