Space Explorers

We worked with the creative minds at Perch Studio to build an incredible set of exhibits focused on space, "Rocketry" and "Looking at Space", for the EcoTarium's larger space-themed gallery outside the Alden Planetarium. The physical build of this project features cabinets inspired by satellites and NASA's rocket launch centers, with a central showstopper: A 9' tall rocket model inspired by the NASA SLS Block 1, decked out with lights and sounds. This was a fun and complex build, requiring use of almost every tool in our shop. From welding to 3D printing, electromechanics to custom painting, we got to flex our wide-ranging skill set to build this stunning interactive sculpture.
